Malaysia’s frozen durian pulp trade is concentrated in a narrow band of FSSC 22000- and GACC-registered processing plants around Raub (Pahang), Segamat (Johor), and the Klang Valley. The ten factories below are ranked by verified freezing capacity, export compliance, and traceability depth for raw Mao Shan Wang pulp destined to China, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
Durian pulp processing in Malaysia is not a cottage industry. It is a cold-chain manufacturing business with -45°C IQF tunnels, nitrogen-flushed packing lines, and lab checks for total plate count below 10⁵ cfu/g. The ten facilities below are the ones contract buyers, F&B distributors, and private label owners actually deal with. All are GACC-registered for China export, hold Halal certification, and operate internal Brix-based grading for Mao Shan Wang, D24, and D101 pulp.
1. Top Fruits Sdn Bhd
Top Fruits runs the largest dedicated durian pulping complex in Malaysia, with its main battery of IQF tunnels in Raub, Pahang, and a second cold store near Sungai Petani, Kedah. Their line handles whole fruit sorting through a Greefa-class calibra sorter, then moves fruit to de-shelving tables where trained cutters open the husk inside a temperature-controlled room held at 16°C. Pulp flash freezes at -45°C in spiral tunnels, reaching a core of -18°C within 90 minutes. Monthly output is around 80 tonnes of pulp, sold to bakery, dairy, and retail buyers in China, the EU, and the Gulf states.
2. Durian King (DKing) Sdn Bhd
DKing is the only factory in Raub that maintains its own registered orchard block, so raw fruit supply is not left to middlemen. Their plant uses a two-stage inspection: a VIS/NIR sorter for external defects and a core temperature probe check before cutting. Pulp is graded into A, B, and C tiers via Brix refractometry. A-tier pulp packs into 500g aluminium laminated pouches under 98% nitrogen flushing. Peak season throughput is 30 tonnes of pulp per day, and the plant runs a dedicated lead-time lane for Port Klang reefer bookings during the July peak.
3. God of Durian (Luxuriant) Sdn Bhd
God of Durian is the export-facing brand of Luxuriant, operating a high-volume pulping plant in Kulai, Johor. The factory specialises in machine-assisted pulp recovery for the food service sector, producing paste that goes into mochi, ice cream, and pandan durian cakes. Their line has three IQF spiral freezers and a 1,000-pallet-capacity cold store at -26°C. They publish a fixed pulp spec sheet: minimum 32% dry matter, 4.8 to 5.5 Brix, no added sugar, and a sieve size of 6mm for smooth paste. This is the factory to use when you need consistent bulk pulp on a monthly contract.
4. Kebun & Co Sdn Bhd
Kebun & Co is the premium processor, with a small-format packing line in Bentong, Pahang, that outputs nitrogen-flushed 125g and 250g plastic cups for retail and hotel pastry sections. Their differentiator is pasteurisation: pulp is heated in a tube heat exchanger to 85°C for 30 seconds, then rapidly chilled, which gives a 90-day chilled shelf life versus the usual 18-month frozen shelf life. Each cup carries a QR code linked to the specific harvest batch and orchard coordinates. They process roughly 500kg per day, deliberately small, but their quality control documentation is the strictest in the sector.
5. HLK Development Sdn Bhd
HLK Development, based in Raub, made its name as the first Malaysian processor to ship draught (kegged) durian pulp to China. Their plant runs a modified filling line in which pasteurised pulp is pumped into single-use 10kg kegs with CO₂ flushing and a sealed dip tube, replacing the old frozen block format. Kegged pulp exits the factory at a chilled temperature of 2°C, not frozen, cutting defrost time in central kitchens and bakery lines. HLK also does conventional 250g frozen bricks for HORECA distributors in Singapore. If you operate a high-volume kitchen that uses durian as a pantry ingredient, HLK is the practical option.
6. D Son Sdn Bhd
D Son operates a mid-sized contract packing facility in Segamat, Johor, and is a GACC-registered establishment that mainly does private label work for Singapore importers. Their line is semi-automated: manual cutting during the summer season, then a calendered roller press extracts pulp from the shell. The resulting pulp is available in 2kg blocks and 500g slabs, vacuum-packed in PA/PE film. D Son is not a brand house, but they are extremely reliable for steady, low-cost pulp supply from July to October, and they have one of the fastest Port of Tanjung Pelepas turnaround times for container staging.
7. Musang King Resources Sdn Bhd
Musang King Resources, a Bentong-based processor, focuses on value-added pulp products: lempuk (cooked durian paste), durian cake filling, and durian jam. Their cooking line is a 200-litre jacketed kettle producing brix-shifted lempuk at 62 Brix, used by Malaysian bakeries and sold in 20kg pails to the food service industry. They also run a smaller IQF line for raw pulp in 300g trays. You should not go to Musang King Resources for raw bulk pulp; you go to them for stabilised, cooked durian puree that won’t weep or separate in pastry laminates.
8. DP Ultra Sdn Bhd
DP Ultra, headquartered in Muar, Johor, is the bakery-grade pulp specialist. Their factory in Muar produces a high-fat cream mode: pulp is blended with a small percentage of non-dairy creamer and emulsifier, then blast frozen in 1kg blocks designed for direct mixing into bread dough and cake batter. This product skips the “add cream and sugar” step in bakeshop operations. DP Ultra also sells 100% pure D24 pulp in 10kg carton-in-case format for ice cream churners. Their facility is the main supply lane into the Singapore wholesale bakery network.
9. KTT Durian Sdn Bhd
KTT Durian is a Raub-based farm-and-factory producer known for its own Mao Shan Wang crop and a processing line dedicated to whole pulp and seedless pulp cups. The differentiating trait at KTT is the hand-sorting bench operation where each aril is visually graded for skin gloss, insect bite marks, and ferment odour. Only grade-one arils go into the export cup line; the rest is diverted to jam and paste. KTT runs a 10-tonne-per-day IQF cycle and holds a specific Halal certification for their cup-sealing line that is audited quarterly by a state religious department.
10. Durian House Sdn Bhd
Durian House is the packed-chilled distributor in the Klang Valley, operating a pulping line in Pandan Indah, Selangor. Their factory is smaller but strategically located 30 minutes from Port Klang and KLIA, so they handle urgent chilled pulp orders for hotel chains in KL and Singapore. Durian House specialises in chilled, pasteurised pulp packed in 1kg food-grade bags with a 14-day shelf life at 4°C. The plant uses a laminar flow packing room, which is unusual for a Malaysian durian kitchen. If you need chilled pulp on a weekly schedule within the Klang Valley, this is the plant.
